Collocutor – Live
About Jazz Lates
Jazz Lates is a series of intimate Jazz events that take place in our wonderful living room. On Friday 23rd August it is with great pleasure that we welcome Collocutor to the living room stage.
Collocutor is the brainchild of saxophonist Tamar Osborn. The project grew from her wish to simply write the music that wanted to be written, rather than focus on a particular audience or context, and as such the compositions draw inspiration from the many genres encountered over the course of a varied career, the strengths and experience of the band members, and the cultural melting pot of London. Influences range from Jazz, Afrobeat, Indian classical and Ethiopian roots to polyphonic choral music and minimalism.
Expect to hear fresh takes on their early material, music from acclaimed second album ’The Search’ and some brand new tunes, including recently released single ’The Angry One’ (On The Corner Records).
