About the EFG London Jazz Festival
The EFG London Jazz Festival is the capital’s biggest pan-city music festival, taking place annually in November, which has long been acclaimed for showcasing a heady mix of talent from around the world. Widely acknowledged for delivering world-class artists and emerging stars, the Festival continues to take jazz to a massive audience, in one of UK’s landmark music events. Following an exceptional edition last year, EFG London Jazz Festival returns with a programme of live performances by an electrifying lineup of global stars, special collaborations, and the finest and freshest music. On Sunday 20th November 2022 it is with great pleasure that we welcome Basile Petite to the living room stage.

About Basile Petite
Born and bred in France, Basile Petite moved to London after graduating from Tours Jazz Conservatoire. He started working as a session musician and began writing his own music, producing and collaborating with other artists such as Mega, Etuk Ubong and BBsway.
Influenced by artists such as Kiefer, MXXWLL and Rob Araujo, Basile blends jazz with hip-hop, neo-soul and many other genres.
In the last year Basile has gained popularity on instagram (60K followers) with an ongoing series of loops featuring many musicians from the London scene. Basile has curated a selection of his favourite loops into live arrangements with a band.

Creating an orbit that encapsulates soundscapes with odd time signatures and grooves – Winnie ventures into soul, jazz, rock and electronic music. Bringing her warm, fat and melodic guitar tone layered ontop with ethereal vocals.
Her sonic influences are J Dilla, Mccoy Tyner, Earthgang, Earth Wind & Fire, Prince, Kaytranada and many more.
As an artist, she has headlined Ronnie Scotts Late Lates, supported the amazing soul artist Reuben James and also the highly acclaimed singer/songwriter Samm Henshaw. She has played with Tomorrows Warriors Female Frontline, Julian Joseph and has been mentored by Shirley Tetteh on the Camberwell Fair Programme. In addition as a session musician, she has played in Cross the Tracks, Jazz Cafe, Wild Paths, The Lafayette and Pizza Express Soho and many more.
As a producer she has amassed acknowledgement from the likes of Quest Love, Pick Up Music and been in the Noatune Studios writing camp and many more entities/platforms.
