About the EFG London Jazz Festival

The 29th edition of the renowned EFG London Jazz festival, a city-wide celebration of emerging and legendary jazz talents worldwide, will be taking place from 12th to 21st November. The event has been hailed as one transcending social, geographical and gender barriers, bringing the true jazz essence to more than 70 venues around the capital with 2000+ artists, hundreds of gigs, film screenings and exhibitions. Ninety One Living Room was invited to participate as an official partnering venue this year and will be proudly showcasing some of the most innovative sounds and talented artists of the contemporary jazz scene which promise to delight your ears.

The soulful song-writer, Cherise Adams-Burnett will strike up the line-up on Saturday 13th, followed by the acclaimed tenor saxophonists Ruben Fox, Theo Erskine & Mussinghi Brian Edwards, and Ruben’s solo album launch on Wednesday 17th.

Our stage will then be graced by heavyweight musical talents including William Cleasby, drummer of the legendary Kurt Elling, a unique Back to Back projet featuring trumpet virtuoso Mark Kavuma and exceptional guitarist Artie Zaitz on the following night. Mark Kavuma will then come back with a long-awaited and long-overdue collusion between another leader of their generation: the brilliant saxophonist Rachael Cohen on Saturday 20th. On Sunday 21st, the curtain will fall with the African American hard-bop tradition brought to you by Mark and his Banger Factory.
