About the band

On Friday 13th May 2022 we are delighted to welcome Guido Spannocchi Quartet to our stage.

Vienna born London based saxophonist presents a mix of music from his latest album “Perihelion” amongst various compositions by Roland Rashaan Kirk, Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane.

Effortlessly moving between groove, swing and exotica Spannocchi has put together an all star cast for this evening consisting of Ruth Goller on bass, known for her work with Melt Yourself Down, Skylla, Vula Viel and others, Danny Keane on piano renowned as sideman for Mulatu Astatke and Anoushka Shankar as well as Shaney Forbes on drums who currently tours with Emanative and has credits such as Steve Grossman, Soweto Kinch and many more under his belt.

Secondary act: DJ Vanes

After the live music performance, DJ Vanes will take over the decks for an closing act of booty shaking and dancefloor fillers. Vanes promises to take us on a journey around the globe with a blend of indie, afro, and a bit of house and disco thrown in there, for good measure.
