Illasoul: In Real Time Takeover series makes its way to 91 Living Room on March 29th, hosted by South London’s finest, DoomCannon. Expect a night of improvised & experimental jazz, opening with performances from DoomCannon’s debut album ‘Renaissance’, followed by a live jam in the second set.

About DoomCannon

 

DoomCannon is a London-based composer, producer & multi-instrumentalist spearheading a plethora of forward-thinking, improvised jazz-inspired outfits. Exhibiting free jazz compositions with a new contemporary flare, unveils DoomCannon’s trailblazing sensibilities.
Having refined a diverse range of artistic strategies and aesthetic textures during his time in numerous jazz-inspired outfits across the U.K., including Project Karnak, Triforce and several more, DoomCannon tackles a range of social and political issues on his new album, Renaissance. On this record, he assumes his role as a commentator uncovering social injustices through the lens of his Black British identity.

The project garnered early support from Gilles Peterson & Tom Ravenscroft at BBC 6Music, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, NTS, Rinse France, FIP, Radio Nova plus features on Spotify & Apple.
