About the artist
Connor Selby is a 21 year old rhythm and blues singer songwriter whose distinctive sound has been described as having the “sensitivity of Nick Drake and the soul of Ray Charles”. Connor combines a diverse range of influences to produce a sound reminiscent of Ray Lamontagne, Townes Van Zandt and Van Morrison.
Having developed a passion for the blues after sitting in at several blues sessions in London and Essex, Connor captures the honesty and integrity of the blues and soul genres in his own unique way, writing songs that put these qualities to the forefront.
Connor has played many of London’s premier folk and blues venues including The Troubadour and The Green Note as well as several headline slots at The Borderline, 100 Club and Under The Bridge.
With his sense of authenticity and intensity he has caught the attention of many music luminaries including The Who who recently added Connor to their summer 2019 extravaganza at Wembley Stadium.
