About Sophie Faith

“Fusing the smokiness of jazz with 21st-century heartbreak” – The Line Of Best Fit

It’s hard to imagine now that Sophie Faith could ever have doubted herself. A rising star of British soul, she can already name a remarkable list of collaborators, from the incomparable Stormzy to jazz maestro Reuben James – and media support ranging from Jamz Supernova and Jamie Cullum to Complex and Earmilk.

Emerging in 2017, Faith quickly amassed a loyal following. Breakout single “Say So,” featured on ITV2’s Love Island, was followed by ruminative “Bad Blood” and the up-tempo “Salt.”

Yet by the time of the Covid pandemic, Faith was uncertain about pursuing music. It took the blockbuster single “Heart Is On My Sleeve,” co-written with Stormzy, to re-inspire her. In her own words, “I needed something soothing and Stormzy really threw me a lifeline.”

With plaudits from Victoria Jane and DJ ACE, the track capped off a stunning five-track EP, 2022’s “The Right Side of Wrong.” Exec-produced by 5x GRAMMY-nominated Linden Jay, and infused with gospel harmonies alongside James’ virtuosic piano stylings, Faith’s EP is a tour de force of modern soul.

Building on sold-out headline shows in Manchester, Brighton and London, The Great Escape beckons in May 2023, as this unique talent sets her sights on even greater things…
