This Friday, SuedeJazz Collective are back at Ninety One with their monthly residency. The gang bring their high-energy sets to dust off the working week and get you moving. Get into a full night of jamming, live performances and DJ sets! Joining them on the night is a host of exciting talent including Rudi Creswick, Jay Verma, Ayo Salawu and DJ Tigas

ABOUT SUEDEJAZZ COLLECTIVE:

SuedeJazz Collective are a multicultural collective that integrates and collages contemporary jazz, hip-hop, progressive rock, ambient and afrobeat. With members from Togo, Hong Kong, Greece, Brazil and Ghana, their worldwide influences colour the textures and compositions they produce. The collective endeavours that the music they make unifies audiences in the same fashion. Hard-hitting grooves and bass-forward compositions are punctuated with ‘The Roots’ inspired guitars, ‘Pharoah Sanders’ saxophones, RnB vocals, theta wave drones and electronic beats.

ABOUT RUDI CRESWICK
Known for his skills on bass with UK Soul and Jazz acts like Tom Misch, Loyle Carner, Alfa Mist and more. Rudi Creswick has since been stepping into the spotlight releasing his first full length solo offering ‘Different Forms’ on Alfa Mist’s Sekito imprint with a new EP on the way. Hailing from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Rudi’s musical journey began in the vibrant DJ and club scene, where he absorbed the sounds of Dubstep, Jungle, Hip-Hop, House and Garage, shaping his production and distinct style on bass.
ABOUT JAY VERMA
Jay Verma is a pianist and composer based in London. With a deep connection to harmony and a unique blend of influences from Jazz, Groove, Romantic and Film music, Jay brings a distinctive voice to his instrument. Throughout his career, Jay has performed, toured, and recorded with notable artists such as Cleo Sol, Little Simz, Olivia Dean, Unknown T, Chronixx, Ganavya, Immanuel Wilkins and many more.
ABOUT AYO SALAWU
Ayo Salawu is a London-based drummer and composer mostly known as a member of Kokoroko, a group in which he gets to delve into his West-African influences as well as UK, Caribbean and US influences including the sounds of Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Reggae, R&b, Rock, and so on. His work has led him to work with many artists including Oscar Jerome, Anaiis, Sampa The Great, Greg Foat, Tiana Major9, and more whether that be on stage or on records.
